Timber batten with wood frame and assembly frame

traglattung

Suitable for:

Wall and ceiling assembly featuring acoustic panels having minimal to medium distance to wall/ceiling (a criss-cross laying pattern will help even out uneven sub-surfaces).

Mounting

Panels must be allowed to stabilize/acclimatize on site for at least 48 hours prior to installation.

  1. Mount frame on wall with suitable mounting material and/or fasten on to load-bearing sections of ceiling
    • Panels must be allowed to stabilize/acclimatize on site for at least 48 hours prior to installation
    • Frame dimension must be at least 50mm x 30mm
    • Frame spacing must be no greater than 1000mm
    • Be sure to heed joint clearance in the frame as well (1mm per running meter)
    • Use a carpenter’s level to align the frame, using spacing pieces wherever necessary to even out irregularities
  2. Fasten assembly frame to timber batten at a 90° angle. Dimensions must be at least 50mm x 30 mm.
    • Frame spacing should be 600mm-800 mm
    • Screw length must be at least twice that of the assembly frame

In order to achieve the desired sound absorption effect, insulating material in the amounts stipulated in the respective datasheet must be inserted in the cavity (in most instances this will be 50mm mineral wool of approx. 35kg/m³)
